This is all well and good for those that like the modern paradigm. Homecoming has made or inherited a ton of changes that favor more modern design philosophies that seek to streamline most everything to create the most accessible experience for the masses. Most of the major differences between ourselves and Homecoming revolve around different philosophies regarding how the game is developed. While I could link you a bunch of patch notes and the like, it's not going to really do you much good if you dont have the background experience. But not as fast as that server that just let's you type in what lvl you want to be and what IOs you want, etc. Or on your 50th character you can speed everything up and get right to the point you want, fairly quick and easy. You can still absolutely not turn on 2x Exp boosters, and make all your money then old fashioned way, and it is perfectly viable to do so still, because the IOs arent going for 1 billion inf each like back on live. Coming up with characters in the creator and trying new power set and AT combos.Įliminating a lot of the long grind helps make the game more fun to me. Its draw to me is the fun number of new alts. The QoL changes, the ability to lvl faster, and the pre-stocked market so that IOs (basically the equivalent of gear in this game) still need to have money made to get them, but they have a ceiling on how much they cost.ĬoH is a very samey/tedious kind if game with limited reason farm end game content.
